		<description>Hi Charlotte,

I checked out your site ... a fella writer!
And what a sweet face you have.

Great observations all.

"Can we be anyone other than who we are," you ask?

Well, a lot of us try that, don't you think? Can we really,
like fer real be other than who we are, though? Not really,
methinks.

We can fool some of the people some of the time, but not
all of the people all of the time, right? :)

I especially liked the last one ... "Don't our true personas
come out, even when we think our slips are not showing?"

Interesting.

I think that depends on many things, don't you? Like how well
another knows us plays a big part in discerning our 'true personna,'
I feel.

Maybe even the word 'persona' suggests that we have a number
of personalities to choose from?

Thanks again for your thoughts!

Carolyn

<description>Lots of folks seem to have dreamed up a personality just for marketing, like the screaming car salesmen on the radio and TV.

It must work better to be who you are, with the brightness or saturation turned up a bit. That's more honest, without taking away the space of other folks. You write in another post about paralyzing fear, and it is the fear of other folks seeing us as we are that many fear most. But can we be anyone other than who we are?
